In 2012, James and Carissa began designing lights for their home—a creative spark that grew into a passion and eventually led to the founding of Long Made Co in 2014. More than a decade and two kids later, Long Made Co has grown into a family-owned and operated lighting studio in Houston, Texas, supported by a team of skilled craftsmen and women committed to creating timeless, high-quality pieces. Every light fixture is designed and handmade to order in our Texas workshop, where we draw inspiration from mid-century, modern, and minimalist design.

Our dedication to craftsmanship and customer care has taken Long Made Co far beyond Texas. Today, our small but mighty company ships worldwide, bringing lights to homes, hotels, restaurants, and more.

Lead Time:

Our current lead time is approximately 7-10 weeks. If you need your order by a certain date or have questions about a new or existing order, shoot us a text or email.

Every fixture is carefully made-to-order just for you! Because we are a small company, our lead times can vary depending on our current production backlog.

We offer rush production and shipping when needed, so please let us know if your project is on a tight deadline and we will let you know if expediting is necessary based on the current backlog. We always do our best to accommodate. We get it!

Trade & Bulk Pricing:

Trade: We are excited to now offer trade pricing. Email us to find out more info about our discounts and to receive free finish samples upon request.

Bulk: Sure do. Email us for more info and a custom invoice with bulk pricing. We are quick to respond.

Returns & Exchanges:

We accept returns and exchanges so you can order with peace of mind. However, since all lights are made to order just for you, orders of five or more items or custom fixtures are non-returnable. Previously installed fixtures are also non-returnable. A 15% restock fee is applied to all returns and shipping fees are non-refundable. Qualifying return or exchange requests must be submitted within 15 days of receiving the product. Items must be sent back within 30 days of delivery.

If a cancellation is needed please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order.

In the rare event your product arrives damaged, we will fix the issue at no cost to you. However, please keep original packaging and contact us within 24 hours. We may need photos of the boxes and product to file a claim with Fedex, USPS or UPS.

Light Bulb Selection:

We don't supply bulbs simply because there are so many options. We are happy to help you find the right bulb, feel free to reach out! We have also created this helpful blog post to explain it all.

UL Listed Light Fixtures:

Long Made Co. light fixtures are now UL listed for US & Canada as noted on the product landing pages. You will find the UL logo on all light fixture product pages that come standard with UL certification. These light fixtures are UL tested and include UL inspection stickers.

What is UL? "UL listed" lighting signifies that a product has undergone rigorous testing required by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and meets their safety standards. Long Made Co is a UL certified studio.

Safety: UL-listed products are designed and tested to minimize the risk of fire, electric shock, and other hazards.
Reliability: UL certification ensures that the product is built to last and perform reliably under normal conditions.
Compliance: UL-listed products meet the requirements of building codes and other safety regulations.
Peace of mind: Choosing UL-listed products gives consumers peace of mind knowing they are purchasing a safe and reliable product.

Dry, Damp, and Wet Ratings

Long Made Co. makes fixtures for Dry and Damp locations, we do not make Wet location fixtures at this time. Below you will find a more detailed explanation on the differences between Dry, Damp, and Wet ratings.

Dry location, damp-rated, and wet-rated light fixtures are designed for different levels of moisture exposure.

Dry-rated fixtures are for indoor, water-free areas like bedrooms and living rooms.
Damp-rated fixtures are for indoor and covered outdoor spaces with humidity or indirect water exposure like bathrooms (not in showers) and covered patios.
Wet-rated fixtures are completely sealed to withstand direct water contact, making them suitable for open outdoor areas such as decks, pergolas, and unroofed patios.

At this time, Long Made Co DOES NOT make any wet-rated fixtures. The majority of our fixtures are appropriate for dry or damp locations only. Please check our website product listings for the specific location recommendations.

Always install fixtures with a rating that matches the environment to avoid electrical hazards and ensure durability! A damp-rated fixture can be used in a dry location, but a dry-rated fixture should never be used in a damp or wet location. Further, a damp-rated fixture should never be used in a wet location.

All designs can be customized.

We offer various socket options including E26 sockets, specialized Damp (not wet) rated E26 sockets, G9, GU24, GU10, and European E27 sockets.

We offer a variety of finishes, including brushed live brass, many variations of oxidized brass and steel, a wide range of powder coated colors, polished and brushed nickle, raw/sealed and even rusty oxidized steel, copper and aluminum, as well as various glass finishes.

Custom lengths and sizing as well as mounting/back plate options are also available.

International Orders:

Shipping: We do not collect duties or taxes upfront. UPS or DHL will collect directly from you. Please insure your contact info is correct when placing your order so they can reach you. We will include all the important paperwork, including customs invoice on the outside of the package. We ship international orders tracked and insured via UPS international express or DHL. Tracking numbers are provided at the time of shipment.

Compatibility: Our hardwired fixtures are rated for up to 250 volts unless noted otherwise. Plug-in fixtures come with North American shaped wall plugs that are rated for up to 120 volts. All fixtures come with E26 or GU10 sockets and wiring rated for up to 250 volts unless customized. We recommend discussing with your local electrician about what modifications may be needed in order to convert our North American fixtures for use in your country. If you are ordering a plug-in fixture you will need to have the wall plug swapped out by a qualified electrician locally and possibly have other modifications made.
