DESCRIPTION

Sometimes smaller is better, that's where this little spot comes in. Available in various drop arm lengths, including custom sizing, the Micro Drop Spot is handmade to order in our Texas studio. Boasting an ultra-thick inset cylinder head and a low-profile slab backplate with concealed inset mounting hardware, this monopoint embodies minimalist elegance. Excellent premium option for accent and task lighting (300 Lumens per bulb).

FINISH OPTIONS

Available in natural brass, light oxidized brass, warm oxidized brass, and black oxidized brass. Finish samples available for purchase here. Made with live, unlacquered brass that is waxed for an even finish that will patina with time.

BACKPLATE SIZING

Option one: (2nd photo) Easy installation - Includes 4 5/8" diameter backplate and hardware for mounting over 3-4 inch standard junction boxes. For a tight fit, inset your junction box at least 1/8".

Option two (primary image): Pre-planning recommended - Includes a 3 5/8" backplate to be used with 3" round jbox (inset at least 1/8 inch). For projects utilizing multiple fixtures on a common wall switch, we recommend a centralized wiring hub (accessible junction box) from which individual cable runs are routed to each fixture. This method simplifies installation and reduces wiring at the fixture location which is often needed when working with a smaller 3" jbox, per code jbox volume requirements. Please pre-plan with your electrician if utilizing the 3 5/8" backplate style as additional options may be available for use with 3-4" jboxes. Depending on your local code you may also be able to use a "mud-in" sheet rock plate for 4" jbox (inquire for suggested product recommendations) or mill work covers for wood ceilings.

VAULTED CEILING OPTION

Hang Straight: Additional swivel at backplate end for use on vaulted ceilings. This option allows for the drop rod to hang vertically on a slanted ceiling. Adds 1 7/8” to tip-to-tip length. Second to last photo.
